hamburg invites: Input from outside

Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city. You might think it is cool here. Most citizens are proud of the history of this mercantile city. And Hamburg is in fact still one of the most important trade and logistics hubs in Europe. But Hamburg has a problem: It is stucked in this self-admiration. While on the one hand thousands of containers from all over the world are beeing handled in the port, on the other hand there is no international sound in the city. Hamburg especially doesn’t attract innovative or creative people like Berlin does, Hamburg has no important fairs or congresses and most institutions or companies are not well known world-wide. And that means that Hamburg has too little international idea exchange.

And that’s why coworking space and idea sharing place betahaus hamburg decided to suggest to you something huge: hamburg invites. A crowdsourced event for input from outside. And we would like to discuss this idea with you from the very early beginning. The first draft of our concept is two weeks old and we will appreciate any hints, comments and ideas.

First chance to discuss with us directly is Barcamp Hamburg on Friday and Barcamp London on Saturday or Sunday. We are curious like hell!
